4th ARISE Annual Meeting

The fourth annual ARO Alliance for Southeast and East Asia RISE meeting was jointly organized by the Japan Institute for Health Security (JIHS) and Nagasaki University and took place on October 16-17, 2025.
This year's meeting, which had the theme “Leveraging ARO capacity to strengthen the clinical trials ecosystem in the ARISE” had a total of around 75 people in person attendance and 176 online. This included Steering Committee members and their representatives, JIHS Executives, and representatives from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW), the Japanese Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED), and the National Cancer Center's ATLAS.

The two-day gathering included several activities, including a Steering Committee meeting, a General Assembly, a capacity development workshop, and a symposium.
We are pleased to announce the addition of two new members: Hanoi Medical University and the University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City, both located in Vietnam. Additionally, two previous SC members Dr. Eva Maria Cutiongco-de La Paz from the National Institute of Health, University of the Philippines Manila and Dr. Kulkanya Chokephaibulkit from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University were awarded honorary membership for their significant contributions to the network.

The 5th Annual Meeting will be co-hosted by JIHS and all ARISE members from Indonesia and locate at the University of Gadja Mada. Details will be shared later. 【Facebook】
